ABOUT THIS ROLE In this role, you will will provide Tier I technical support to employees in regard to their computers, laptops, printers and mobile devices supporting the IT Helpdesk including tasks of remote and onsite end user support, installing software and hardware, performing maintenance and resolving problems.
You will install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade all computer equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Receive and respond to incoming calls and emails regarding computer problems.
You will cross-train with the Client Systems Administrator and develop an understanding of daily job functions and fill in as necessary.
A detailed position description will be furnished at interview.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Associate's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field is preferred.
Information Technology Security Certifications are preferred (e.
g.
A+, MCP, etc.
).
At least two years experience working with computers, Windows operating systems and peripheral hardware.
Must have a good technical knowledge of computer internal components including CD/DVD drives, power supplies, motherboards, network cards, etc.
Must be good at troubleshooting software and hardware problems and have experience working with networks.
Technical knowledge of current protocols, hardware and operating systems.
Must be able to read and understand technical manuals and documentation and research computer issues and products as required.
Must have effective interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas in user-friendly language and have strong customer service skills and willingness to help others.
Valid drivers license required.
Must have ability to lift at least 40 pounds for computers, printers and other related equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position has normal working hours, and may require occasional overtime and/or weekend work; planned or for emergencies, travel/training.
Shift work may be required for extreme weather conditions as needed.
