In this highly visible and supported role, you'll be our champion of safety culture and coordinate the Cooperative's safety program.

ABOUT THIS ROLE In this highly visible role, you will:
Be a champion of safety culture Coordinate the Cooperative's safety program Help maintain the BEMC safety manual and existing policies, procedures and regulations Ensure the Cooperative meets the criteria of the NRECA and Rural Electric Safety Achievement Program (RESAP) Keep abreast of new or changing laws, regulations or technical developments Collaborate on the planning and implementation of safety policies and procedures Serve as point of contact for Federated Insurance and OSHA on-site visits Present safety messages to all audiences Have ability to receive and maintain confidential information The above is not all-inclusive of job responsibilities and duties - a job description will be furnished at interview.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree preferred or a minimum of eight (8) years of training/experience Additional education or training in an electric distribution system, with focus on safety is highly desirable Must have Certified Loss Control Professional Certificate or obtain within two years of accepting position Minimum of eight (8) years field experience in an electrical distribution system Must have valid CDL and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report Must have or obtain first aid, CPR and AED instructor certifications Computer skills are a must (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook) Knowledge of electric utility construction standards and National Electric Safety Code REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
